JLF/Yad Vashem “Salute to Hollywood” Gala

On Monday evening, June 6, the main ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel was the venue for a profoundly moving event – the convergence of celebrity and survivor. The American Society for Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority in Jerusalem, and the Jewish Life Foundation, which funds the creation of Jewish-themed cultural and educational programs aired on Jewish Life Television (JLTV), hosted their third annual “Salute to Hollywood” benefit gala.  The star-studded event recognized Janice Min and Lynne Segall from The Hollywood Reporter for their groundbreaking story, “The Last Survivors.” Also honored were film producers Meyer Gottlieb and Branko Lustig and philanthropist David Wiener, all Holocaust survivors.  Presenters were actor Tony Goldwyn, producer and DreamWorks CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg and JLTV Founder & CEO, Phil Blazer.
